Phares: Libanon kan falla till Hizbollah, intifadakorridor genom Irak
Mellanösternexperten Walid Phares menar att Iran vill skapa ett brohuvud vid medelhavet med Libanon styrt av Hizbollah. Detta görs genom att förse Hizbollah med militär materiel genom Syrien för att senare försöka öppna en korridor av Intifada (Phares ordval) genom Irak. Phares ser Israels avancemang upp längs Syriska gränsen som nödvändig.
