Tvåspråkighet försenar demens i 4 år

Enligt en kanadensisk undersökning med 200 deltagare tycks tvåspråkighet vara en faktor som försenar demens med fyra år.

They found that the patients seemed to be at similar stages of cognitive dysfunction, but they could be divided into two groups, one of which showed a much later onset (over four years later) for the cognitive problems. So what did that group have that the other one lacked–did they get more exercise, eat a different diet, or work the New York Times crossword puzzle every day? Nope–they were bilingual.
