The large hadron collider and the story of how our universe began

Deep in the mountains a big circle has been tunneled. Through this tunnel particles are accelerated to higher and higher speeds, lap after lap. Scientist have placed measuring equipment around it and in it. The particles are accelerated till insane speeds until they collide with hitherto unknown force and ferocity into a Big Bang.

And that is ladies and gentlemen, how our universe began. We are now in the process of starting up the next large hadron collider to complete the circle of existence.

But then, what preceded the first large hadron colliders? Ah, but that is a false question, because it is large hadron colliders all the way down.
